Meet the Band

Charlie Milo performing in Hip Hop is Dead.

Charlie Milo

Bass & Vocals

Handling the lower frequencies, we’ve got Charlie Milo. Like a green panda with light green patches. Hailing from Tucson, Arizona, Charlie has played his way into through various musical avenues and had the opportunity to expand his music by sheer exposure and composure.

Katie Milo

Lead Vocals

All the way from the Big Apple, this Brooklyn girl has a voice as smooth as moonlit silk and a spirit that swirls like a cosmic bloom, Katie is a celestial force in the realm of R&B. Her sound is an ethereal tapestry, weaving together hypnotic grooves, lush harmonies, and a psychedelic energy that transports listeners to a realm of pure emotion. Each note she sings is like a petal unfolding, each phrase an intricate dance of light and shadow. Her signature touch comes with the rhythmic pulse of an egg shaker, adding a shimmering, playful texture to her music, as if the universe itself is shaking in time with her soul.

Kenrick Pellerin

Saxophone & Electronics

Wielding many sonic tools, Kenrick comes from a mostly jazz background from big bands to quartets. Now leans into the world of jam-rock saxophone. This Colorado Springs native plays too many notes and coats too many throats (sorry, he's married).

Jeremy Aguilera performing in Hip Hop is Dead.

Jeremy Aguilera

Keyboards

Up in his space ship high above the clouds, Jeremy Aguilera aka Jerome with the Comb is laying down the ethereal sounds of synths and keys. A cosmic wanderer with a love for Grateful Dead jams and boom-bap beats, he blends the old and the new into a sonic journey that’s as groovy as it is futuristic. When he’s not on stage, he’s exploring distant galaxies in search of the next perfect note.

Chris Combs

Drums (Stage Right AND Stage Left)

Rolling in on the skins we have Chris Combs, aka Dollfin Beets. His drumming flows like a tidal wave, crashing through the mix with precision and flair. A true rhythmic alchemist, he fuses the laid-back vibes of the Dead with the pulse of hip-hop, creating beats that ripple through the crowd.

What started out as a Charlie Milo brain child of combining the worlds of hip hop and dead tunes, has now become a full fledged project. The 5 of us have been playing music with each other in different projects for years and this project was a leaping off point for us to get ourselves in the scene.

The jam band aspect of our group lets the five of us spread our proverbial “chops” and let our musical ideas congeal into our unique sound that shifts in and out of our set lists.
